File Uploads, Downloads and Approvals

Moving files back and forth between your business and clients can be a challenge.  Email was not designed to handle the movement, organization and storage of files. MioWorks on the other hand has been specifically designed to allow clients to easily move files back and forth with your business.   By using the customer portal for file management you won’t have the frustrations of blocked, undelivered or bounced email messages.

Contacts may upload files for you

Getting files from contacts can be difficult especially if those files are large.  MioWorks makes it simple for a contact to upload a file to the customer portal.  Once the file has been uploaded it is stored, indexed into the search system and become a part of the history of that particular contact. To upload a file, the contact logs into the portal and selects the “files” tab on the left.  Then the contact enters a description about the file (1), they select the file from their local computer (2) and they click the upload button (3) to complete the process.  Once the file has been uploaded a message will be sent to the business owner of this particular contact.

Contacts may view & download files

The “Files” tab also shows the contact all of the different files available to them.  This list of files may be a single list or displayed in folders.  From the listing of files the contact may view the details of the file or click on the file to download it to their local computer for viewing or editing.

Contacts may approve or reject a file

Many times you would like to make sure that a client received a file.  When the business user uploads a file for the customer, they may request an approval.  When the client views the file they will see that there is an approval request. The user may approve or reject the file by giving it a thumbs up or a thumbs down.

Types of Files

MioWorks can handle nearly any type of file including documents, PDF files, video files, audio files, and much more.  MioWorks has been architected to handle very large files as well as a large number of very small files.

File storage space

Your MioWorks.com account includes 5GB of storage space with the basic subscription.  You may monitor your utilization of file space at any time by visiting the Site Administrator page.  You may also purchase additional storage space as needed in 5GB increments.  To purchase additional space, please visit the Site Administrators page.
